Kenku Assassin Miniature

This is a miniature figure of my Kenku Assassin called Ulin.  Kenkus were humanoid parakeets in AD&D but were reincarnated as slightly seedier humanoid crows in later editions.  It occurred to me that maybe his tunic is cut scandalously low.

Wise Man Objects

These are two more Nativity Scene Objects made from the discarded Nativity Scene I found in the trash, featuring the face of one of the wise men.  The second one also has a weapon belonging to a Star Wars figure.

Chamsa 64

This is Chamsa 64.  I used a bark texture mold.  It's not my prettiest chamsa.  It reminds me of feces.

Tardigrade 3

I sold my first Tardigrade sculpture to a buyer on Etsy last month.  I haven't heard back from her after several contact attempts, so I can only hope that Tardigrade 1 made it safely to the U.K.

Unfired Kenku Miniature

I started playing in a new game of D&D Encounters.  This is the character I'm going to be playing:  a Kenku Assassin named Ulin.  Kenku are crow-like humanoids.  I would like to add that I truly despise the new Blogger editor. 

Mother's Day Spiky Pot WIP

This is my first pot made from coils.  It has 73 spikes, took four hours to make, and, yes, it's going to be a Mother's Day present.

Achaierai Coloring Book

 

After many weeks waiting on my shelf, the Achaierai made it into the kiln and came out intact. I was considering using a combination of glaze and paint, but I decided that only acrylic paints would give me the  bright, cartoonish colors that I want.

Celebratory Tardigrade

I received a message from a person in the UK who was interested in buying the tardigrade I have for sale on Etsy.  I made a new tardgrade in celebration.. 

Nativity Scene Objects

I found a mostly intact nativity scene by the dumpster behind my apartment complex, along with various other discarded Christmas decorations.  I immediately thought, "I have to press these things into clay at the first possible opportunity."  These two wise men and a camel were the first to taste clay and here are the objects that resulted.

Chamsa 63

I gave away a similar chamsa and immediately wished I hadn't.  This is the replacement.

Purple Worm 1

This is a clay sculpture of a Purple Worm, an iconic and unsurprisingly easily formed D&D monster.  The stinger on the end of the tail was knocked off and, despite my efforts to reattach it, it came out of the kiln a less than intact worm.

 

Warthog Column 4

This is Warthog Column 4, made to replace the one that was damaged by some random monster child at the studio. The glazes are Warren's Green and Ragnar's Black over Stony Gray.

Unfired Purple Worm 2 and Free-Standing Duck Head

My first purple worm lost the stinger off its tail. I resisted the urge to destroy it. I'm using the damaged original as a glaze test and made a new one last night.






The small object pictured with Purple Worm 2 is a Free-Standing Duck Head, which was spontaneously constructed (rare for me) while discussing a dire work situation.
